A slow day 2
Well today’s been a bit of a slow day, only got a few things done, as had a few too many worky things to get done.
So on to screenshots:
So a couple of things to see here:
- I’ve shrunk down the quest text, it was unfortunately taking up a bit too much space. I’ve still got some alignment / spacing issues I’ve not yet addressed, but I can put that on the pile of things to look at later.
- The message log at the bottom of the screen is now drawing boxes around groups of messages. You’ll see it better after an encounter happens, but all the messages were just reading like a wall-o-text, so I wanted to clean it up a bit.
- Quests now have quest rewards, well dummy ones. There not proper rewards, because I still need to come up with a neat reward system.
I very carefully picked a combat where only one peep had died, so when the peep dies in addition to going grey, they now show a skull! They’re also unselectable. All peeps also get deselected post a combat encounter, so no more dead peeps going on quests, it’s bad for morale ;)…
Also the reward only went to the living peep, not the dead one.
You can also see the message log boxes as well and if you look carefully at the very bottom there’s a little “…”, showing the text is elided.
Finally the Message Log Screen shows the full message log, nothing too exciting here, but this should hopefully provide useful info as to what’s going wrong in battles.
That’s it for screenshots, not too much happened, but some small stuff here and there.
Btw, I’ve been getting some reports of issues on windows, so if anyone has any idea what the problem is that would be great. Having to figure out a new windows build at this point is going to be painful…
